Call for Authors for 'P3O'

To complement the guidance for projects, programmes and risk management, it is proposed to construct guidance for the 'support' roles - traditionally called project support offices or project offices. Current thinking is that this should really encompass Programmes, Portfolios and Projects - hence P3 - but isn't confined to 'support' - hence no 'S' in the title!

If you would like to know what is happening and possible get involved either as an author or as a reviewer, please download this document from TSO

If you decide to respond, please do so direct to TSO - not through BPUG.

Governance of the Industry

Members will undoubtedly be interested to know that their qualifications scheme is being independently quality assured for impartiality. It is of interest to members (and others) in that it is part of their business case for obtaining a qualification via the accredited route. There is a strong community of trainers and consultants who have been largely responsible for the worldwide uptake of PRINCE2, MSP and M_o_R.

BPUG® is keen to support this community and to represent the interests of all users and APMG have asked us to help in sharing knowledge about how they themselves are governed. Hence we are pleased to publish this information.

Pen pictures are available on the APMG website at www.apmgroup.co.uk under the About Us and Governance section.

The membership of the board has been drawn from academia and business and individually they have public and private sector experience in a wide range of business sectors. They are not appointed to represent a particular business interest but to act impartially in representing the community at large.

The requirements of the Board under our UKAS accreditation are defined as:

"The structure of APMG shall be such as to give confidence in its certifications/registrations. In particular, APMG shall have a documented structure which safeguards impartiality, including provisions to assure the impartiality of the operations of APMG; this structure shall enable the participation of all parties significantly concerned in the development of policies and principles regarding the content and functioning of the certification/registration system."
